I’m Karen, a.k.a. Bini.
I’m happiest when I’m making,
and I’m always thinking about clothes.

I learned to knit in my late teens in Germany, but my making only kicked into high gear after I ditched grad school — I wanted something more tangible than what academia had to offer.

I’ve spent the last decades knitting everything in sight, teaching new knitters, and then learning how to sew. I’ve also fallen in love with the intentionality of minimalism, and surrounding myself with only the things that I love and express my personality in just the right ways.

Like so many of us, I’m also worried about the impact our consumption has on our fragile planet, so it’s become my mission to help makers make better so they can save precious resources and their own precious time.
